NEVER use soap in banneton baskets; instead, rinse them and use a clean dry brush to scrape out any bits of dough. Use a towel to dry so that the basket is only damp (not wet) and add a fresh coat of rice flour. NEVER put banneton baskets in the oven- they are for proofing, not baking. Bowl liners and bread bag should be hand-washed with a small amount of gentle soap in cool water, rinsed well, and line dried. A second option is to machine wash with cool to warm water on a gentle cycle; tumble dry with NO heat.
