Description
Explore the world of biology in this Cells Activity Kit. New from ScienceWiz! Featuring a forty-page science book and kit, kids will learn the fundamentals of staining onion cells, preparing a leaf cell, staining and viewing cheeks cells, identifying parts of the cell, and so much more! This kit includes a breakthrough clip-on microscope that lets you observe on a digital screen as you prepare a microscope slide step-by-step on the microscope stand. Step-by-step instructions lead a child successfully through each activity. The full color illustrations present central scientific concepts which allow children to discover the "why" as well as the "how" of these great projects. Extend and enrich the fun and learning by utilizing the videos, animations and word play that compliment the book on the ScienceWiz website. The award winning ScienceWiz line got its start in 1995 when we released our first title ScienceWiz Electricity. Our line of science kits stemmed from Dr. Penny Norman's volunteer work teaching science in her children's elementary schools and her ScienceWiz after school programs and summer camps. With initial development supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Franklin Foundation, each of our kits is created with the goal of teaching fundamental scientific concepts to children through hands-on play. From our offices in Richmond, CA we work hard towards our goal of providing children a basic foundation in science. Each new title we release is focused on a distinct topic. With so many disciplines in science, our work may never be finished. Along the way, we hope to inspire young minds to love learning as much as we do.
