Description
Malachite is a copper-rich mineral that has been used for thousands of years to make pigments, paints, and mosaics (just to name a few). This particular malachite is from the Congo Region, which is known for its large, bright green malachite specimens. This material is very clean and pure - no host rock or other minerals. This stone is sold in 1/2 ounce units and is great for jewelry embellishments and/or woodworking inlay. This material is considered to be medium to fine, ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters. This product is NOT man-made, mixed with resin, or stabilized. Stone authenticity is extremely important to all artisans; therefore, we strive to validate the source of all our minerals before they are crushed. Please see product images for color, size range, and quality. Picture taken in full - material is dry.
