- Before cleaning the appliance, switch it off with the ON/OFF switch, unplug from the power socket and make sure none of the parts are hot: if they are, allow the unit to cool; to wash the anodized aluminum container, use hot water and dishwashing liquid; to clean the plastic outer housing, use warm water applied with a damp sponge; be careful not to splash accessible electrical parts with water; never immerse the product in water; also make sure there is no residue on the unit before using again
