When smoke or fire is detected, an 85-decibel alarm will sound. The Kidde Wireless Smoke Alarm enables extension of coverage & protection without any need for additional wiring. When one alarm sounds, they all do, providing an early warning against fire by dramatically increasing your ability to hear an alarm anywhere in your home, regardless of where the fire starts. The Kidde Wireless Smoke Detector is powered by 2-AA alkaline batteries (included), which provide easy installation since the alarm requires no wiring, plus coverage during a power failure.
