Description
Japanese style knife, typically used for chopping vegetables quickly and thoroughly, made of genuine white steel, which holds its sharpness for longer, and is delivered from Sakai, a center of traditional sword making crafts. The Japanese style knives in the Sakai Ajimasa manufactured genuine white steel series are manufactured with an emphasis on ease of use for artisans such as sushi and traditional Japanese cuisines chefs. Every knife is handmade in a traditional process, forged by Sakai smiths and honed at Ajioka Cutlery. The handle is made of magnolia wood.
Features
- Strong and sharp Damascus steel blade with distinctive pattern, 17 layers VG10 which is a stainless steel with a high carbon content containing Carbon, Chromium, Molybdenum, Vanadium, Cobalt (rare metal). The pattern floats on the surface by layered forging are all different and vary each other.
- Finely crafted with 17 Layers of Damascus Steel and VG10, to maximize strength and cutting ability, allowing this knife to last long and keep it's edge for a longer time.
- Since the blade has very high hardness and excellent abrasion resistance, it keeps a sharp cut for longer time. Made of resist rust VG-10 stainless steel at the core of the blade with reinforced Mahogany Wood Handle.
