About the Author
Howie Abrams is a former music business executive turned author from New York City. He co-authored Finding Joseph I: An Oral History of H.R. from Bad Brains with James Lathos, The Merciless Book of Metal Lists with Sacha Jenkins, and Misfit Summer Camp: 20 Years on the Road with the Vans Warped Tour with Kevin Lyman. Howie contributes to Noisey as well as Mass Appeal, and he co-hosts a weekly radio show called Merciless with rapper ILL BILL.
Michael "Kaves" McLeer is an MC in the hip-hop/rock group Lordz of Brooklyn, a graffiti artist, and the author of Skin Graf: Masters of Graffiti Tattoo. He lives in Brooklyn.
Darryl "DMC" McDaniels is a musical icon and one of the founders of the groundbreaking rap group Run-DMC, which has sold more than thirty million singles and albums worldwide. He is the author of King of Rock and Ten Ways Not to Commit Suicide. He lives in New York City.
