About the Author
Dr. Jeffrey L. Gurian is often described as a "Renaissance" man! He does a lot of things. He is a retired Cosmetic Dentist and a former Assoc. Clinical Prof. at NYU in the Oral Medicine/Oro-Facial Pain Department where he taught for 12 years. He's also a practitioner of Spiritual Healing and Energy Work and has been on the Board of The Assoc. for Spirituality and Psychotherapy since 1999, where he has lectured in their one year course, and at Energy Psychology conferences in New York, Rhode Island, Georgia and Canada on his technique known as "STAR" Therapy, an acronym for Spiritual, Transformational, Affirmative, Resonance Therapy. It's a very gentle system of "talk and touch" used to treat the physical symptoms of stress-related illness including Migraine-type headaches, head, neck and shoulder pain, ear pain, dizziness, and Tinnitus often associated with a TMJ causation.
