Temperature measuring
Taking Temperature in Forehead Temperature Mode
1. Set the measurement mode to “Body” .
2. Make sure the distance between thermometer and forehead is approximately 1” -2” (3-5cm) with the sensor facing the forehead, and press the trigger to measure the forehead temperature .
3. When you hear one beep sound, the LCD will show the result.
Taking Temperature in Surface Temperature Mode
1. Set the measurement mode to “Surface” mode.
2. Aim the sensor at the object you wish to measure.
3. Press the trigger. Thermometer will beep and display the temperature.
4. If the measured temperature is higher than 212° F (100℃), the display will show “Hi” .
If the measured temperature is below 32°F (0℃), the display will show “Lo” .
Setting operation
F1 -- Set °C/9F scale
Press the MODE button for 2 seconds. The screen will display F1 on the bottom right. Press UP or DOWN button to change temperature unit to °C or °F.
F2 -- Set alarm temp
Press the MODE button for 2 seconds, press the MODE button to get F2. Select UP to increase the threshold by 0.1°F(0.1°C), or DOWN to reduce it by0.1°F (0.1°C). The alarm threshold default value is 100.4°F(38.0°C)
F3 -- Set difference
Press the MODE button for 2 seconds, press two times to get F3. Select UP to increase the difference by 0.1°F(0.1°C), or DOWN to reduce it by0.1°F (0.1°C)
In the case of seasonal or environmental changes, a verification and adjustment should be carried out.
Note: This function is only effective for measuring body temperature
F4 -- Set buzzer on/off
Press the MODE button for 2 seconds, press 3 times to get F4. Select UP to turn on the buzzer, press DOWN to turn off the buzzer.
