The Video Color Chips target contains four rows of color chips – a chromatic color row to align with the color axis on a vectorscope; a skin tone row ranging from light to dark with subtle undertones; a linear grayscale row with six steps for even gray balance for highlight and shadow regions; and a black and white row, including high gloss black, to capture the full range of your video camera. The Grayscale Target helps filmmakers align the exposure and contrast for multi-camera matching and the White Balance Target provides a neutral reference point across mixed lighting, eliminating color casts and making post production color correction and editing faster and easier by eliminating the need to neutralize individual frames. The Focus Target will always be at your fingertips to facilitate center and edge focusing. The ColorChecker Passport Video is produced under the same stringent coating process that is used for the original “Macbeth Chart”. Each individual color chip is coated and verified to deliver consistent spectral responses from target to target. The set of color chips will reflect light similarly allowing cameras and operators to capture accurate color for camera balancing, exposure and much more.
