Body Temperature measurement is taken on the forehead, however the unit can also be changed from 'human' to 'surface' mode to measure the temperature of objects to +/-3.6℉
Simple Operation:
To take a temperature measurement: depress the ‘Measure’ button to turn the unit on. With the thermometer about 1 inch from the forehead - depress the ‘Measure’ button and release, the beep is heard, within two seconds you can read the temperature value.
