Use: for best results, pre-heat oven to 500 f (260 c) & place stone, resting in wire handle frame, in middle of oven on lowest rack for 30 min. When it is time to bake, dust stone with a small amount of cornmeal or flour before placing food on top. If baking a pre-prepared food item, bake as directed by manufacturer on packaging. For fresh pizza, a flat metal spatula or pizza peel dusted with cornmeal works well to transfer food to the baking stone. Alternatively, use an oven mitt or glove to remove the hot stone from the oven, place food to be baked onto the stone & return both to the oven. CARE: This baking stone is very durable though caution should be exercised to avoid thermal shock that may crack the stone.
