Description
This Pentek BP-410-10 polypropylene felt filter bag reduces sand, silt, scale, and rust particles in residential and commercial drinking water and industrial fluid applications. It has a nominal filtration rating of 10 microns at an efficiency of 85%. This filter is made of two polypropylene felt layers on a supporting scrim with thermal glazing of the outer surface for high solids loading capacity and reduced fiber migration. Polypropylene fibers are compatible with a broad range of corrosive fluids, including organic solvents, oils, acids, and alkalis. The filter has a maximum flow rate of 20 gallons per minute (gpm), and operates at temperatures up to 200 degrees F (93.3 degrees C). This felt polypropylene filter bag is used for treatment of residential and commercial drinking water and industrial fluids.

Water filters remove undesirable particles, chemicals, and microorganisms from water by means of a semipermeable barrier, adsorption, or biological processes. They are made of densely packed synthetic or natural fibers that trap suspended particles, materials that block microbes or adsorb unwanted chemicals, or substances that cause a chemical change, such as acid neutralization.
