So if you set the electronic scale to pounds mode and turn it off, the scale will read in pounds when turned on. The HOLD feature on the MBSC 50 lets you get a fixed reading on a squirming baby or animal. Place Infant or animal on the basket, wait for a stable "moment" and then press the HOLD key.
