Q & A: How do I know if this will work on my deadbolt? - Please make sure the gap between the door frame and the door to be at least 1/16" open space (same thickness as a dime coin) for the hook to slide in. Other than that, the LOKmate will fit on most conventional deadbolts with inward opening doors. Will the magnetic attach to my deadbolt? - Majority of the deadbolts on the market is manufactured with metal alloy or with steel additives, so the LOKmate will works fine. We have included a 3/4" round metal disc with 3M backing tape in case your LOKmate is not able to attach to the deadbolt.
