The exterior appearance and style of your front door remains unchanged and you can still use your original key from your existing deadbolt to lock/unlock your door as a backup. Users have an additional option that includes turning on automatic door locking after 30 seconds.
Compatible Door Locks: If you have a standard deadbolt mounted separately from the handle below it, it should be compatible with Kwikset Convert. Kwikset Convert is compatible with most Kwikset, Weiser, Baldwin Prestige, Baldwin Reserve, Baldwin Estate, and Schlage standard deadbolts.. Fits standard doors (1-3/8in. – 2in.) and installs in minutes with just a screw driver - no new screw holes or hard wiring needed. Includes 4 AA batteries required for operation."
