Thatcher Murcia, her two sons, and their dog live in Akron, Pennsylvania. They spent the 2007 2008 school year in La Mesa, a small town in the Colombian department of Cundinamarca. She is the author of many books for Mitchell Lane Publishers, including Meet Our New Student from Colombia, Ronaldinho, What It s Like to Be Marta Vieira, and Dolores Huerta.
