Just to prove how illustrious this simple ball-and-string contraption is, Avi Arad eventually went on to become the CEO of Marvel Studios (he's the Executive Producer of Spiderman and a couple of X-Men Movies). Imagine the brainpower that went into this simple toy!
In fact, the toy was inspired by the Lemon Twist, which was produced by ChemToy - the company that invented the bubble-wand-and-solution toy.
The skip it ball is a pioneer in the toy space. In fact, Time Magazine rated it as one of the Top 100 Toys of All Time.
