Step 1: Evaluate which areas need to be tested. You can test water stained areas, areas with potential visible mold, HVAC registers, and any other surfaces of concern. Step 2: Test the areas identified in Step 1. Swab the area to be sampled until the end of the swab is discolored. Cover as much of the swab as possible with the potential mold. Step 3: Place each swab in a separate container (included) and label with the area tested. For each sample, fill out 2 labels, one for the sample and one for the lab analysis form. Step 4: Send sample to the Lab - as soon as your samples are sealed and labeled, fill out the Lab Analysis & Consultation Form (included in your kit). Detailed steps are included on the form. Once completed, send the kit back with samples and the form. Lab analysis is done at our state of the art lab. Our highly trained analysts perform a quantitative analysis of your sample and, if mold spores are present, identify the specific mold genera (genuses).
