Thunder only works with true TB3 ports, not USB-C. ACTIVE COOLING: Thunder is the only high-performance TB3 SSD enclosure re-engineered for active cooling. We stress-tested this design with an Intel SSD by writing 3 terabytes in 60 minutes using a 4 terabyte Sabrent SSD and Thunder stayed cool to the touch with no performance drops. The whisper-quiet 4000 RPM fan makes the new model a bit wider than our classic Thunder. The extra size is worth it. M.2 NVMe ENCLOSURE: Designed for 2280 and 2260 M.2 NVMe and AHCI SSD. Not compatible with M.2 SATA SSD, Apple OEM SSD, or Fledging Feather SSD. ANODIZED ALUMINUM CASING: We believe products should look and feel good.
