• End grain cutting boards are not as rigid as those made of bamboo or plastic. Its structure protects knives' blades from blunting. Cutting goes between wood fibers rather than through them. By nature, teak fibers close back up after each cut, keeping your knife edge sharper for longer. Its large surface of 17" x 11" x 1.5" grants enough space for preparing any meal.
• Traditional boards are treated with mineral oil, a distillate of petroleum. To avoid fossil fuels, we coat our boards with PURE BEESWAX, which increases wood's water resistance by 90%. 2oz additional Ziruma wax included.
• We treat with USDA Certified organic coconut oil to keep our cutting boards surface smooth and deeply moisturized.
• Endocrine Disruptors present in plastic, bamboo, and substandard cutting boards end up in your food. Our boards are FREE of BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde-based adhesives.
