The bolts and nuts on this digger are 1/2". Bucket metal thickness is almost 1/8" Compare that to the scrawny rivets or screws used on other diggers. The bucket angle is not limited like on most diggers so you can get a bigger scoop of dirt. It may be good to start at 4 or 5 years old on these because of the weight and size. Adults can even sit on the toy. Assembly time about 2 minutes
