Usage Recommendation:
BATH BOMBS
-Always make your bath bombs with Polysorbate 80 to prevent mica from staining your bath tub.
SOAP
-You can mix straight into your melted soap or mix and 1 teaspoon of mica powder with 1 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol or glycerin. The later method allows faster color mixing. If you see bubbles forming, spray with alcohol.
EPOXY:
-Mix into the hardener to prevent mica powder from clumping.
-To achieve full color, we recommend using 2-3% mica powder by weight to total combined resin and hardener mixture. For example, if you are using 5oz of epoxy, we recommend using 0.1oz mica powder.
-If you are making epoxy that requires some transparency, such as river table, start with 0.1% mica powder by weight to total combine resin and hardener mixture, then gradually increase the percentage to achieve gradient effect.
-For flooring, we recommend using 2-3% mica powder by weight to total combined resin and hardener mixture when installed at 60 mils (1.5mm) in thickness.
Features
- 【PEARLESCENT BEYOND WORDS】Bright and bold. Iridescent colors are transparent pigments allowing light to reflect to create depth and pearlized effects.
- 【SAFE, NON-TOXIC, CRUELTY FREE】All our resin color pigment is stain-free but highly recommend using POLYSORBATE 80 for those making bath bombs, gentle on skin, and won’t cause irritation. As with any additive, always test a small area before full use to ensure it’s allergy safe.
- 【UNLIMITED USES】Pearl Mica Powder Pigment may be mixed into mediums such as art paint, epoxy resin, glue or paste to create a pearlescent or metallic finish. It’s also ideal for soap making, bath bombs, slime, latex, floor coatings, watercolors, acrylics, varnish, nail polish, DIY crafts and more!
- 【NOTE】The amount or volume of mica pigment powder filled in each jar will appear to be different for each pigment color due to the differences in particle size and density between pigments.
